This species of spider normally attacks its prey injecting venom along with their bite. The venom of this spider is powerful, it is used to kill other insects. In order to find this spider in its natural habitat, the first place to start looking is beneath rocks and inside tree holes.

There is generally no external evidence that the larvae have been eating and growing inside the seed until after about one month when the adult weevil chews through the seed coat and emerges.
